Sven Seuken and Abraham Bernstein were awarded a grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) for their research project "A Market-based Approach for Querying the Web of Data." The grant will be used to fund two new PhD students for 3 years each, one joining the Computation and Economics Research Group (advised by Sven Seuken) and one joining the Distributed Dynamic Information Systems group (advised by Abraham Bernstein). The PhD student joining the Computation and Economics Research Group will work on the market design aspects of this project, i.e., on topics such as combinatorial auctions, combinatorial exchanges, bidding languages, etc.
Students interested in applying for the new PhD position should submit their application documents until June 15th, 2014. Please see the full announcement for details.
