WINZ Hosts Its First Women in Tech Panel
The Women in Informatics Network Zurich (WINZ) and the UZH ACM-W Student Chapter hosted their first Women in Tech panel on November 28th. Five speakers from ETH, UZH, Apple, Google DeepMind, and BCGX shared experiences about career growth, challenges, and the value of supportive communities for women in technology. The event sparked insightful discussions among students and marked an important step toward building a stronger, more inclusive tech community at UZH.

The secret is out, WINZ is hosting its first academic and career event! Join us for an open, women-first panel bringing together inspiring women from academia and industry to share their experiences, challenges, and inspirations in tech. We're so excited to hear from Anastasia Makarova, April Yi Wang, Elena Arcari, Giorgia Ramponi, and Laura Manduchi, each bringing unique insights into what it means to thrive as a woman in tech.
The 45-minute discussion will explore career journeys, gender dynamics in tech, and what it means to thrive as a woman in academic and industry environments. Afterwards, stay for an apéro to connect, ask questions, and build community 🥂
