UZH Innovation Grant awarded for GeoFoundation Startup Initiative
Congratulations to Kilian Sprenkamp, PhD student at the Information Management Research Group and DSI researcher. GeoFoundation has been selected for the UZH Innovation Grant.

The startup concept GeoFoundation by Kilian Sprenkamp, PhD student at the Department of Informatics, and his Co-Founder Konstantin Gerner, has been awarded a UZH Innovation Grant.
In the future, GeoFoundation will integrate internal company data with real-time geopolitical information from important data sources, automatically showing what is relevant to the company’s supply chain management.
The funding will support a comprehensive market validation to explore how agentic AI can assist companies in identifying geopolitical risks and interpreting their impact on global supply chains.
As a first step, Kilian Sprenkamp will gain a deeper understanding of the specific challenges large multinational corporations face in responding to geopolitical developments. Based on these insights, he and his team will develop a prototype of an agentic AI that can generate targeted recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
The project is conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Schwabe.
