CatchMyPain.com wins biggest Swiss entrepreneurship award

The start-up Sanovation AG is among the winners of this year’s W.A. de Vigier entrepreneurship award. The team will receive CHF 100’000 to support their work on a worldwide chronic pain diary, called CatchMyPain.com. The anonymous data in the diary will be used for chronic pain research to help patients get rid of their pain. The official announcement can be found here. The ifi alumni and now researchers in the s.e.a.l. group Daniel Lawniczak, Roman Haag and Nicolà Parpan are part of the young start-up. The team recently also made it to the top 20 of venture 2012, the biggest business plan competition in Switzerland. CatchMyPain is strongly connected to the ifi: In February 2012 was the start of the research project PainHawk, which is funded by the CTI and the Hasler Foundation. The project consists of three strong partners: Prof. Harald Gall and his s.e.a.l. group, the start-up Sanovation, and the clinics Valens. CatchMyPain is the first product emerging from the CTI project PainHawk. As a student you can become part of this innovative project! The team is seeking motivated master students to work on a master project or a master thesis. Have a look at the description page. We are looking forward to your application!
