Short Bio

Hello there! I am Tim, a research assistant under Prof. Dr. Elaine M. Huang at the People and Computing Lab. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Informatics from the University of Zurich, where I wrote my thesis on 'Design Principles for Conversational Agents in Group Collaboration'. In Spring 2024, I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Zurich with a Master's in People-Oriented Computing, where I conducted my thesis on 'Exploring the Landscape of Mental Health Discourse on TikTok'. As a research assistant, I am currently extending my research on TikTok and mental health.
I am highly knowledgeable and passionate about the intersection of social media and mental health. My work focuses on investigating the effects of mental health content found on social media.

Research

While my primary research area is highlighted above, I am also interested in researching other interdisciplinary topics, such as culture and mobility. Pleasecontact me if you are interested in working with me or have any questions about my research areas.
