This thesis involves the development of a prototype DeFi protocol that operates on two rollups, - layer-2 blockchain - and uses the aggregation layer for communication. The aggregation layer (or hyper-bridge) is a novel form of communication between blockchains that allows for instantaneous token transfers.
In this master project/thesis, the test environment is set, leveraging framework for rollups based on proofs, e.g., OP Stack, ZKsync or Polygon ZKEVM. The project involves stress-testing of the connectivity, including technical constraints such as speed, throughput, and latency.
