Seminar: Economics of the Metaverse

Abstract:

The goal of this Seminar is to give students the opportunity to think and realise opportunities and challenges around the Metaverse before the time comes: In a research-driven approach, this seminar will allow the students to shed light on future advances of Metaverse fields of applications while the challenges and deficits will be critically and objectively analysed, too.

Note:
Students will be offered a set of topics to research on. Upon selecting one topic, they will work in groups of 1 - 2 and (at the end of the Seminar) they will present the topic.

The presentation will need a preparation done by students and under the supervision of their supervisor.

This seminar requires a written report, which is a documentation of the studied (and presented) topic be produced by the students of each group.

The allocation of students to this seminar will be done through the department via the new module booking tool. If there is a shortage of seats, we will give preference to students that are majoring in informatics and have not yet attended a seminar and are already far in their studies. Please note that we cannot guarantee a spot.
