Study on 5G and climate protection
Together with Empa, Swisscom and Swisscleantech, the ISR Group has published a study on the impact of 5G mobile networks on climate protection in Switzerland.
The study «Next generation mobile networks» calculates scenarios for Switzerland in 2030 and answers the following questions:
- How much greenhouse gas emissions will be caused by production and operation of 5G network infrastructure?
- What use cases will benefit from 5G mobile networks and what is their potential to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions?
