Courses: We currently offer the following database related courses (visit the web pages of the courses for detailed information). With each course the recommended semester is indicated during which the course should be attended (clearly this will vary depending on your preferences and personal study plan).

• Informatics II: 2nd semester
• Database Systems (DBS): 4th semester
• Database Lab (DBL): MSc
• XML und Datenbanken (XDBS): 6th or 8th semester
• Systems for Data Science (SysDS): first year MSc
• Temporal and Spatial Data Management (TSDM): 9th or 7th semester; odd years only

BSc and MSc Theses: We provide various opportunities to do BSc theses, MSc theses, and projects. Typical theses in our group are research-centric and deal with state-of-the-art database problems. We are happy to supervise topics in the general area of databases and welcome projects in collaboration with industry. You can choose one of our proposals or suggest your own topic in the area of database systems. Please note that this web site does not contain a complete listing of subjects.
