Short biography
Meirav has been a postdoctoral researcher at the Social Computing Group since October 2025. She received her PhD from the University of Oslo in early 2025, advised by Prof. Christos Dimitrakakis, Prof. Anne-Marie George and Prof. Ingrid Chieh Yu. Her thesis, titled “Algorithmic Fairness and Recourse for Allocation Policies”, explored trade-offs between utility and fairness in sequential decision making under limited resources.
Between 2024-2025, she worked as a research scientist at Irregular (formerly Pattern Labs), a frontier AI security lab, where she worked on LLM safety evaluations. In 2019, she interned at Google Brain, Paris, and during 2018-2019, held a student position as a data scientist at Intel.
Her research interests span various aspects of trustworthy AI, with a focus on fairness in dynamic, uncertain environments.
