Digital Agents for Automated Facilitation

Both research and practice demonstrate that many teams struggle with coordination, communication, and decision-making, often leading to ineffective meetings and suboptimal outcomes. Overcoming these challenges typically requires facilitation expertise to help groups structure their interactions and achieve predictable results. However, facilitation expertise is scarce, expensive, and difficult to scale.

This thesis project aims to address this problem using digital agents. You will explore, design, implement, and evaluate an AI system capable of guiding a group through a structured brainstorming session.

While the exact scope of the prototype will be defined during the proposal process, the project will include:

• Developing an interactive digital agent that can welcome a group, introduce a collaborative task, explain system tools, and guide participants through the process.
• Collecting data during the first weeks of October 2026
• Analyzing the collected data
• Writing a final report and giving a presentation
