I am working in the e-LICO project on user-support for KDD by planning the KDD-process. My current and past research interests are mainly in the field of Machine Learning (ML) and Data Mining (DM) for Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD), they include:

• Applications of ML/DM, esp. embedding them into business specific products
• Computational learning theory
• Multi-Relational Data Mining (MRDM), e.g. Induction of Logic Programs (ILP), Induction and Description
• Logic Ontology’s and Description Logic Programs
• Multi-Strategy Learning
• The pre-processing phase of the KDD-process
