Installing Eclipse
- Check if you have already installed Eclipse.
- If so, check the version. This can be done by starting up Eclipse and by choosing the menu item Help / About. You need Eclipse Version 3.4 or newer.
- If you have no Eclipse installed on your system or a version less than 3.4, you have to download and install Eclipse:
- Go to http://www.eclipse.org/downloads.
- Download the version of the Eclipse SDK that is the most appropriate for your operating system. For the most common systems see our recommendations at the installation requirements page.
- Install the Eclipse SDK according to the instructions on http://www.eclipse.org/downloads.
- After finishing the installation, start up Eclipse. Confirm the default location of the workspace during the startup. Now the IDE started up and you are ready for the next step.
