Dr. Tino Comes
Former Research Assistant
Tino was a doctoral student and an assistant researcher of Computer Science at Zurich University. His research in the Information Management Research Group focused on the design, development, and evaluation of sociotechnical systems to support the persuasiveness of advisors that work in a mobile environment. Tino headed the research project Persuasive Home Security Advice, which had investigated the influence of computer-supported security advice-giving on home owners for several years. He was instrumental in developing a prototype, which was used by advice-giving police authorities such as Zurich City and Zurich Canton Police (Switzerland) as well as Federal State Police Hessen and Federal State Police Baden-Württemberg (Germany). The success of the project attracted the interest of a group of investors which turned the prototype into a product and brought it to market.
