Developers' perspective on Generative AI

Generative AI challenges existing structures of content production in all branches of industry. It also has essential impact on how software developers work and what abilities they can include in their apps. Understanding how developers include Generative AI and what implications come with the advent of such tools as GPT, Bard, or LLaMA is essential to learn what skills should be taught to students and how study programs can accomodate for the new wave of automatization.

This thesis will analyse a set of interviews conducted with developers to explore their attitudes towards Generative AI. It will use qualitative research methods involving coding of the interview transcripts and sensemaking of the obtained results.
