Research Interests
My main research interest lies in the general area of Software Engineering (SE), Agentic AI, AI applied to SE, and Software Engineering for Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). My primary research focuses on using agentic AI to support software evolution and modernization, and on building tools and techniques that help developers understand, maintain, and migrate complex software systems, including cyber-physical systems.
Short Biography
I am a Senior Researcher (Oberassistentin) at the Software Evolution and Architecture Lab (SEAL), where I work on agentic AI for software evolution and modernization. I earned my PhD with honours from Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU) in 2023 under the supervision of Prof. Alexander Egyed, with a thesis on applying software engineering techniques to support flexibility in assembly systems. Before joining SEAL, I spent one year as a Senior Researcher and nearly three years as a Research Manager at Pro2Future, an Austrian research center. In that role, I managed multiple research projects and was responsible for acquiring new projects with industry partners.
Teaching
- Advanced Software Engineering (2027)
- Seminar: Advanced Software Engineering (BSc)(2027: Course administration and lectures)
- Seminar: Advanced Software Engineering (MSc)(2027: Course administration and lectures)
Projects (MSc/BSc Thesis and Master Project)
I am interested in supervising theses on AI-based solutions for software evolution and modernization tasks, with a particular focus on the development and orchestration of multi-agent AI systems. This includes the sustainability aspects of these solutions, such as energy consumption and cost. If you have your own idea in this area, or would like to hear about the project ideas I currently have available, feel free to reach out.
