My research interests lie in scientific computing and visualization, with a focus on developing efficient algorithms for compression, reconstruction, and visualization of high-dimensional datasets. In particular, I explore the use of tensor decompositions as a framework for data compression, enabling more efficient analysis and interactive exploration of large-scale datasets.
I began my academic journey at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, where I studied mathematics for three semesters before earning a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Data and Computer Science. Since the summer of 2024, I have been pursuing my PhD in scientific visualization at the University of Zürich.
I am available to supervise student projects and theses in the area of scientific visualization, volume visualization, data compression, and related areas. You can find a selection of potential topics on our lab'sstudent projects page. Note that this is not an exhaustive list and I am also open to discuss other ideas. Feel free to reach out!
