Computation and Economics Research Group

The Computation and Economics Research Group was founded by Prof. Dr. Sven Seuken in September 2011. We conduct research on various topics at the intersection of computer science and economics with a focus on the design and analysis of electronic markets and market-based systems. Our research approach is very broad and interdisciplinary. We use techniques from economics as well as computer science which includes theoretical modeling and analysis, simulations, as well as lab and field experiments.

Past and current research projects include the design of hidden markets for decentralized backup systems, the study of market user interface design, the design of reputation systems and accounting mechanisms for multi-agent systems, and the study of P2P file-sharing systems. For more information please see our list of publications.
