Short Bio

I was born in Peschiera del Garda, Italy, on the 29th of July 1998. I moved to England in 2015, after three years of language school in Italy. Following my graduation from high school, in 2017 I was offered by the University of Southampton an enrolment for the course of MEng Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence, which I firmly accepted in what was one of the best days of my life. I graduated from this course on the 8th of July 2021 with First Class Honours.

After having the opportunity to work as a Software Engineer Intern for JetBrains GmbH during the summer of 2020, I moved to Zurich the following year, short after my graduation, to join the research group of Prof. Dr. Harald C. Gall, at the University of Zurich, as Doktorand.

In my current role as a Doktorand, my research is centered on the utilisation of artificial intelligence in software engineering. I am particularly focused on developing deep learning techniques to support and enhance program parsing and analysis. This work aims to make software development more efficient and reliable by harnessing the power of AI to support various aspects of the software engineering process.

One of the key areas of my research involves a novel testing paradigm known as Synthetic End-User Testing. This new approach leverages deep learning models to simulate and model end-user behaviour. By doing so, we can synthetically reproduce production environments to validate multi-agent systems in realistic and observable utilisation settings. This research promises to optimise the way we test and validate complex software systems, ensuring they perform reliably in relevant, real-world scenarios.
