Forty Years of Requirements Engineering – Looking Forward and Looking Back (RE@40)

Forty years ago, in January 1977, the seminal special issue of IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering appeared with eight papers on requirements engineering topics. In retrospect, this issue marks the beginning of RE as a scientific and practical discipline.

The RE@40 Seminar

On this occasion, Martin Glinz, Xavier Franch and Roel Wieringa are organizing a one-week seminar on April 24-28, 2017 which will bring together both senior and junior experts in Requirements Engineering from all over the world to discuss achievements, challenges and a roadmap into the future of RE.

The program will feature keynotes, a couple of invited focus talks, short presentations by participants and ample space for discussion.

The seminar is by invitation only. It will be held in a former monastery in Kappel am Albis, Switzerland.
