DIZH Rapid Action Grant for André Meyer

André Meyer won a DIZH Rapid action grant for his research project «FlowLight». The DIZH (Digitalization Initiative of the Zurich Higher Education Institutions) supports projects for which concept and implementation plans already exist. Congratulations!
André Meyer studied interruptions and their impact on productivity, and he developed with Professor Thomas Fritz and his team a research prototype: The FlowLight. It combines a physical traffic-light like LED with an automatic interruptibility measure based on computer interaction data. The recent trend towards hybrid workplaces shows a new challenge: How to find a balance between focused deep work and collaboration?
Within the scope of this grant, the research prototype will be adapted to today's hybrid work scenarios to support both, physical and remote work, and will be evaluated with companies in the greater Zurich region in a product-ready form.
