In his inaugural lecture Alberto Bacchelli will discuss how code review data and empirical software engineering methods has been used to ensure the high quality of software. And he will show how this process could be made even more effective and reliable.

Alberto Bacchelli joined the Department of Informatics of the University of Zurich as an SNSF Professor in 2017. Since 2020, he has been an associated professor and head of the Zurich Empirical Software Engineering Team (ZEST). Alberto Bacchelli has received the MSR Ric Holt Early Career Achievement Award 2020 for his contributions on modern code reviewing.
