PhD Position in Database Systems

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Zürich, Switzerland offers a fully funded PhD position for up to four years.

The PhD position is in the area of database systems and we are looking for a candidate who is interested to publish in the flagship outlets of the database community (SIGMOD, VLDB, ICDE, etc). The research interests include, but are not limited to, big data and machine learning, stream processing, temporal and time series data, scientific and statistical data processing, spatial data, and query processing and optimization.

The PhD student will be supervised by Prof. Michael Böhlen.  You will be working in a team of young and highly motivated colleagues who are passionate about research.
