Short Bio

Since October 2018, Nils is a Ph.D. student advised by Prof. Sven Seuken in the Computation and Economics Research Group at the Department of Informatics of the University of Zurich. Nils holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from RWTH Aachen University, Germany. He spent two semesters abroad, one during his bachelor studies at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia. For his Master's thesis, he visited the research group of Rajmohan Rajaraman at Northeastern University where he designed approximation algorithms for problems regarding message dissemination in networks. Between 2016 and 2018, Nils worked as Application Developer at IBM Client Innovation Center in Bern, Switzerland.

Refugee resettlement, matching markets, machine learning, combinatorial optimization
