Ph.D. and Postdoc positions in Software Engineering ZEST @ University of Zurich The Zurich Empirical Software engineering Team (ZEST), led by Prof. Dr. Alberto Bacchelli at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, invites applications for openings as Ph.D. student and postdoctoral researcher. ZEST is part of the UZH Software Lab, a consortium of three professors (A. Bacchelli, T. Fritz, H.C. Gall) and currently includes three postdocs and eleven Ph.D. students. The UZH Software Lab's research spans a wide area of topics, including empirical software engineering, human aspects of software engineering, data mining and AI/ML for software evolution, software architecture, software quality, and software processes (code review, DevOps, CI/CD). To carry out and evaluate our research, we collaborate closely with more than 20 industrial partners, including Microsoft, Logitech, ABB, Salesforce, Accenture, and Adesso, as well as with university researchers around the globe, including Europe, Canada, and the USA. We regularly publish our research in top international journals and conferences in Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, and Computer Supported Collaborative Work.
