Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Kurt Bauknecht

Prof. Dr. Kurt Bauknecht leitete das Institut für Informatik und die Forschungsgruppe Informations- und Kommunikationsmanagement bis zu seiner Emeritierung im Jahr 2003. In seiner aktiven Zeit war er Mitglied zahlreicher Fachgruppen und Verbände. Unter anderem war er Präsident der Schweizer Informatik Gesellschaft SI und der International Federation for Information Processing IFIP. Im Jahr 2000 verlieh im die Johannes Kepler Universität Linz die Würde eines Ehrendoktors.

Prof. Dr. Kurt Bauknecht was head of the Department of Informatics, and he lead the Information and Communication Management Research Group until he retired in 2003. In his active professional life, he was a member of numerous organizations in the field of Informatics. He was president of the Swiss Informatics Society SI and of the International Federation for Information Processing IFIP. In 2000 he received a honorary doctorate from the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria.
