Research Abstract and Interests

In essence, my scientific research is centered around two topics:

Categorization

This research project focuses on the development and the dynamics of categorization. Categorization is usually viewed from an information processing perspective. In most models there is some input which is mapped onto some internal representation such as a category node. In our research we adopt an alternative approach which is strongly based on the principles and methods of New Artficial Intelligence (New AI). New AI capitalizes on the system-environment interaction.
