Research: Scalable Rendering and High-Performance Visualization

In the context of scientific visualization and interactive 3D graphics we are investigating new algorithms and systems for scalable high-performance visualization and parallel real-time rendering on graphics clusters. Very large-scale 3D data sets and high-resolution display systems for the visualization of highly detailed scientific data drive the development of new adaptive data representation schemes, parallel 3D data rendering modes and distributed image generation methods. We are developing novel parallel rendering task decomposition schemes, distributed load-balancing algorithms and dynamic data distribution approaches.
