Research: Remote Visualization and Streaming 3D Graphics

The rapid development of computing, network and graphics infrastructure will inevitably lead to extending the existing paradigm of streaming video to streaming interactive 3D graphics for remote display. This will allow for exciting new applications of interactive 3D graphics not only in entertainment (i.e. networked games, interactive virtual environments on portable devices) but also in critical areas such as health care, emergency response and disaster recovery. To achieve these goals we explore novel ways of compressing, streaming and remotely displaying 3D content.
