Short Bio

Since October 2005, I am a researcher in the software evolution and architecture lab at the University of Zurich. I received my master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Information Systems / Business Informatics from the University of Zurich in 2004. I was working for Deloitte & Touche Enterprise Risk Services Department as a consultant since then.
I am a member of professional computer science societies such as ACM, and IEEE.

Research Interests

My research interests are in software engineering with focus on:

  • Software Visualization
I have been investigating software visualization techniques and tools that offer quick answers for programmers' questions arising during program comprehension tasks. Given my expertise in IT-auditing I am also interested in usability aspects of research solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Sensing Software with CocoViz
I have developed a software sensing approach and a research prototype named CocoViz. It enables visual, audio, and multi-touch interfacing with large software systems. I have investigated large software systems mainly from the Open Source Community and aligned my tool with our research prototypes Evolizer and SOFAS.
  • Research papers and prototypes
For more information on my research please consult the s.e.a.l. prototypes page.
