Martin Glinz wins the ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Service Award 2016

It is a great pleasure to announce that Martin Glinz won the ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Service Award 2016.

SIGSOFT is the ACM special interest group on all aspects of software development. It was founded in 1976 and its activities attract both academics and practitioners. The Distinguished Service Award is presented to an individual who has contributed an important service to the software engineering community. The award presentation and ceremony will take place at ICSE 2016 in Austin, Texas this coming May.

This is a great achievement and witness to Martin Glinz’s service to the community. It puts him on the award list together with software engineering luminaries such as Leon Osterweil, David Notkin, Carlo Ghezi, and Richard Taylor.

Please join me in congratulating Martin Glinz on this outstanding award!
