Stefan Holm received his diploma in Software Systems in 2011 at the University of Zurich. In his master thesis, he implemented an agent-based model of the Swiss wood fuel market. After continuing his work on this topic at the EMPA, he started working at the WSL, the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research. There he's working as a software engineer on forestry decision support systems.
His current research focuses on integrating agent-based modeling and discrete choice experiments. His PhD thesis is connected to an NFP-66 project and a cooperation between the IFI and the WSL.
