I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Dynamic and Distributed Information Systems (DDIS) group headed by Prof. Abraham Bernstein at the University of Zurich (UZH).

Before that I was a researcher at RWTH Aachen and the at the Swiss Federal Institute for forest, snow and landscape research (WSL). I obtained my PhD from University of Zurich in 2011.

Research Interests

My general research interest is modeling and dicovery of knowledge and perform inference on it. I have a strong affiliation with the Semantic Web and the Description Logics community and keep good relations with the Geo Information Sciences community. In particular my vision is to make (Semantic) Web technology accessible by non-experts in formal logics.
