The group for Advanced Neural Intefacing (ANI) aims at establishing the interface between biological neural tissue and engineering technology such as computers and other articifcial devices.
By virtue of novel neural interfacing approaches shall the secrets of neural tissue and ourselves be tackled.

ANI grounds on three orchestrated approaches called ANP, DNCC and NIRAD. Each research direction is coordinated by dedicated researchers:

Advanced Neural Prostetics - ANP

Missing or impaired organs shall be replaced or supported by prostheses that directly communicate with the nervous system.

Direct Neural Communication and Control - DNCC

Natural brains or artificially grown neural tissue shall retrieve infomation and control hardware to which they are directly connected to.

Neural Interfacing for Research Applications and Diagnostics - NIRAD

Technology for probing neural activity in neural science, medicine and forensic science shall be advanced.
